Hello,
I'm struggling to work out if I'm permitted to work a few hours a week while also receiving LCWRA, I've volunteered for a local charity for the past couple of years, which UC are aware of. I was offered a couple of paid hours a week pre Covid but didn't like to accept incase I lost any of my benefits.
I've tried speaking with my work coach but they don't really give direct answers to my questions.
I was curious to know if I started work would I lose the WRA component or am I aloud to work while receiving this.
If I am aloud, how many hours am I permitted and how much am I aloud to earn?
I've also Read about work allowances and I am unsure if I am entitled to one of these. I do not have housing benefits and I am in receipt of PIP.
Look forward to hearing from you
Simon

Working will not result in removal of the LCWRA element. There are no earnings or hours limits for UC. If the type of work you are doing contradicts the reasons you were found to have LCW then you may be reassessed.
Because you have the LCWRA element you will have a Work allowance which means that some of your earnings will be disregarded before any earnings deduction is calculated.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.
