I thought you could still be a Carer on Pensions then it would be classed as an underlying payment when calculating there entitlement to both of their pensions
That's exactly what Mike has said. Someone can claim Carers Allowance. Assuming the State Pension is worth more than the CA, the CA will not be paid but an underlying entitlement is established which means that a carer premium is included in the calculation of means tested benefits.

Yes She has had a pension forecast as She’s due to reach state pension. Was told She wouldn’t be entitled to pension credit or council tax, as it will be classed as an overlapping payment. She gets Carers Allowance at the moment for looking after a family member, but was told that will also stop

Giving them entitlement to some P.C. & Council Tax reduction
She cannot claim Pension Credit because husband already claims it. When she reaches pension age the Pension credit will be recalculated to take account of her pension. As previously advised whether or not anything is payable depends on the maximum entitlement and the amount of pension or other income.

The Carers Allowance will stop but the will be entitled to a carer premium in the Pension Credit calculation.
