Hi all my daughter is a part time wheelchair user and is having trouble in school.
They failed her on a fire drill last and sent her down the stairs with every one else which is a massive safety risk to her and othera. They have sent her down the stairs again this week and back up them because the lifts were not working and they didn't have a back up plan.
Then with all this going on some children are bullying her and even went as far as taking the wheels of her chair and throwing them around.
I have a meeting this Friday and I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to approach these failings and what to do next.
Thanks all

Another link above might be useful to you.
Also you could contact the school governors if your not getting any where.0 -
Hi @Laurastone and welcome to our online community.
I'm so sorry your daughter has had to experience this, it's shocking to hear Do you have a SENco involved or a learning mentor to offer her support? Also, was the bullying reported?
Scope have some guidance pages on SEN support and EHCP's that you might like to look at. While, I also think it would help to contact an organisation who have specific expertise in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) for their input. Some good ones to get in touch with are:
These links take you to each organisations respective contact/helpline pages.
I hope you are and your daughter are both ok, and please let us know how you get on on Friday.0 -
Thanks both I will check out the links.
Yes she has a senco involved but due to covid she has been unable to access thwm because of the bubble rule0
