LCWRA backed payment

Hi, I have recently been awarded the LCWRA, I received my first payment this month but have also had a letter in my journal outlining how much I’m owed for the backdated amount too. However, there was no information about how or when I will receive this money. Does anyone know how long roughly it takes for the backdated payment to be processed and will this come on my next UC payment or as a separate payment? Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi there
If they have calculated how much you ard owed you shouldn't be waiting too long as it just needs the payment authorising
It will be a separate payment
If you check your old statements they should change to reflect the additional payment0 -
It will come as a separate payment.0

I still haven’t received the payment. I contacted them around 2 weeks ago and was told it was sent to debt management to recover an old tax credit debt. I then received a letter last Thursday telling me the total amount and saying they will pay the remaining balance to me ASAP but still no payment as of yet or any pending payment to my account. How long does this usually take? It’s been almost 2 months since my first confirmation of my LWCRA.0

Would it not be better to contact them again and just ask if there is any progress? All we can do is speculate.1

@JDobs9319 I also called, they couldn't tell me a time frame. I left a journal note. They replied to me on the Friday saying it will be in by monday/Tuesday latest .. it went in on the same day as their reply.0
