I am desperately trying to find if my sons PIP award is included in my finances that need to be disclosed as part of a tricky divorce proceeding between myself and my sons dad? Many thanks in advance.

Hi @joby2010 - welcome to the community. Your son's PIP award is totally separate from your own finances, so please don't be worried on that score. With the financial disclosure forms that both you & your son's dad will have to go through you just have to list what monies you each have in any bank accounts, or building societies, these will not include your son's PIP monies. If you & your son's dad have any joint accounts, then you just list half of this. Hope this helps.

Hello @joby2010 and a warm welcome to our community.

I hope @chiarieds has put your mind at ease that your son's PIP wouldn't need to be included, or disclosed, in the financial statement.  You might find Advicenow's 'Fill in your financial statement (form E) without the help of a lawyer' guidance or video handy for as you fill in the form.

I hope the divorce goes smoothly and good luck for the future :)

Just to put your mind at rest your sons PIP award will not be taken into account reference to your income in deciding your divorce settlement.

    Hi @joby2010 :)

Just wanted to add my welcome to the community and see how you were getting on?

Have you spotted the replies to your original post? Hopefully, that's helped to put your mind at rest about your son's PIP award and the financial disclosure for your divorce?

Also, just to say that I hope things go as smoothly as possible for you in terms of the divorce itself. And do pop back from time to time if you ever need a sounding-board, or somebody to talk to. All the best with everything. :)
