My partner received an extension after reapplying?!

My partner’s tribunal award runs out in June and she reapplied in March and sent her forms off in April.

Yesterday she got a letter saying her award has been extended until October while they deal with her claim.

Is this normal? We both assumed the award would just end and the new claim would be back paid if successful.

Hi there 

They have been extending due to backlogs initially it wasn't to those who won at tribunal but think they have been challenged on this and made recent change 

Nothing to worry about and gives mors time for new claim to process
