Ok so today i had a telephone conversion with my work coach who has confirmed thst the LCWRA element will be awarded
from sept when i was asked to fill out questionaire so there we have it confirmation thst i will be back dated from sept 2020 and for 18 months no mention of 3 month waiting period maybe because it took 6 months for me to have assesment from sept until march this year i waited to be assessed . Thankyou

The reason there is no 3 month waiting period is because you previously had LCW as I previously advised

That changes things. It means there is no three month wait. However I am still uncertain when LCWRA will be applied from.
Glad if they go from September.

Ot 4akes a while to get sorted despite the 7 days they quote

You should get the extra payment in your next uc payment the arrears will then be 0aid separate once calculated and authorised

Keep checking your old statements and when the additional payment shows on 5hem they will have recalculated I  order to work out back pay will then need authorising and put into payment and clear into your bank

Takes a while does not really answer the question . Why do i need to keep checking old statements those payments have been and gone . I'm owed underpayment from sept 2020 in my maths thats 10 months = £3043 there abouts . Question is why is it taking so long ? That calculation could be done by a child in a minute so why so long is the question . Thankyou

The old statements will be amended when the lcwra payment is applied

It takes a while as they are busy dealing with so many claims

How long can only be a guess by anyone on here we are not your dwp case manager

Don't take it out on me only trying to help o won't comment further

    Hope you get it soon

It's worth making copies of all the old statements so that you can compare them with the revised statements if you need to. You will not be able to see the old ones on your journal once they are overwritten with new ones.

It isn't as simply as that - although the answer may be the same.

They cannot simple multiply the LCWRA element by the number of months. They have to completely recalculate the award for each month and then compare it with what you were paid to calculate the underpayment for each month. Then they need to add this together.

In many cases the result will be the same as you suggest but in other cases it will be different because of additional entitlements that arise from having LCWRA or it may be less if for example the claimant was already getting the carer element (which would now have to be removed) or indeed the lCWRA element might not be payable at all if the claim is a couples claim and the other member of the couple already gets LCWRA element.
