Parents needed: autism and sibling relationships study

Dear Parents,

We'd like to invite you to take part in a study about sibling bullying. We're looking for parents or guardians who look after autistic children to tell us a little bit about the relationship between their autistic child and their non-autistic sibling.

The study is designed to investigate sibling bullying behaviour. Some examples of sibling bullying behaviour are:
  • When two children tease each other, maybe calling each other names or making fun of each other
  • When two children kick, hit, or push each other, or hurt each other on purpose in other ways
  • Taking each other's belongings, or breaking them
This kind of behaviour between siblings is really common, and we're interested in identifying what kind of behaviours take place and why.  We’re interested in the perspectives of parents who have autistic children because autistic children are often overlooked in research about sibling relationships, and we want to change that by seeking your perspective on these important topics.

If you would like to take part, or are interested in reading more about the study, please click this link:  https://york.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2ahLxIL0gDGHSAe

Thank you,
