Hi, my name is Austinkel! Has anyone heard of a carers support grant?

Hi I’m new to this just wanted to ask my husband is my full time carer and as been for 2 years we’ve heard about a carers support grant that you can get the first week in June every year and you don’t have to apply you just get it as anyone else heard of this as we didn’t get anything last year and can be up to £1700 thanks

As far as I am aware it is a grant that is paid by the Irish government, never heard of one in the UK although I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong.
