For vaccinated people, are either of these now available? The Specsaver site is a puzzle. It gives a click link for 'free' then says £95, or gives a click link for 'home tests' then says these are in no circumstances available. The theory used to be that Specsavers would do both eyes and hearing as part of the N.H.S. It used to be that they would do home visits for both tests (certainly for people living in town centres). G.Ps do make referrals, but how can people chase Specsavers up?
(There is no method to contact some G.Ps now, because everything is automated to what someone decided people ought to be asking about, not what they actually do want to contact for. e;g; along the lines of 'is it a) urgent? if so, call an ambulance ' or is it b) not urgent? if so, call 111
If you can find any way through that, you get another list of 'permitted' questions, along the lines of ' are you asking about a) a child's spots or b) a chiropody issue,?' There is no 'none of the above' option)

a)Are you housebound? b)Do you believe whatever is your personal experience must automatically be the same all over the country for everyone else? c)Err....What would you assume someone would do first, in trying to contact Specsavers?
