Hi, I had blood clots both lungs in December last year. I am currently on blood thinners to prevent another clot happening. Do you think this could have brought on Fibromyalgia as I have a lot of the symptoms. I was surprised to learn you can be tested to confirm this is what you have.. Thanks for your help

Hi @Trezi The NHS page on possible causes of fibromyalgia doesn't seem to mention blood clots or blood thinner medication. The symptoms of fibromyalgia can be similar to that of some other conditions. Have you spoken to your GP about the symptoms you've been experiencing?0

It could also be lupus as you have had blood clots0

No one here can give you medical advise, you need to speak to your GP0

Hi @Trezi
How are you feeling?
Have you had chance to speak with your GP about what you have been experiencing?
I appreciate you sharing your personal experience and knowledge @lisathomas50, however it wouldn't be wise for us to speculate as to what it might be, and please ensure you link to a source when making statements such as the one you have made there.
While blood clotting has been associated as a possible symptom of Lupus, it's not our place on the community to give medical advice and as such I would very much suggest that the OP speaks with their GP if their hope is to gain a diagnosis.0
