Royal mail delays related to PIP

Morning All ?
Hope all is well with you.
Thank goodness its a lot cooler now !
I've just spoken to Royal Mail, and a lovely gentleman told me, that the DWP PIP office staff, do not allow them into the building.
So they do not deliver the post to PIP Offices, the DWP staff, collect it, from the handling site ,in Wolverhampton.
He also said, it could be sat, in a large bag, in a corner, until they decide to pick it up. So this is probably why, my 1st class letter, from Nottingham, still hasn't arrived at Wolverhampton ???
Posted on 8th, still not received, after phone call to PIP office , yesterday.
I really hope, that my MR isn't going to be affected by this delay.
So anyone else, please be aware, that this is the situation with the DWP

Hi there
Not also that but also until the dwp scan the post onto the system it doesn't show as recieved0 -
The advisor i spoke to yesterday, said it would not affect my claim, as its not my fault. But Im still anxious about it, as its an MR0

Hi @em444
Thank you for posting about this. I've edited the thread title as it's incorrect to suggest that the Royal Mail delays related to PIP are untrue. Although the person you spoke to gave anecdotal advice to the contrary, both incoming and outgoing post at the DWP is currently being impacted by Royal Mail staff self-isolating and other covid-19 restrictions.
To help further support those affected, I hear that the PIP helpline may be open this AM if you want to speak with them and quell any anxiety.0 -
Once had half the contents of a post go missing because they only scanned it single sided but it was a double sided document.
Another time the scanned document on DWP system was completely blank - it was single sided and had been scanned wrong way up.

Currently have mandatory reconsideration going on and a payment due from Access to work, now I sent off the form for Access to work on the 15th June and it was uploaded on the 15th July, been told by Pip that it is the same timescale so it is taking approx 4 weeks for any dwp documents to show up i am expecting this is due to staff shortage at the scanning location.0
