I have times during the day when I feel a bit lost?1
-
Yes, I'd love that ?Maybe add a couple of extra things to the vote!
Is every day like ground hog day?
Does it feel as if your World getting smaller and smaller?
Is a trip to the local shop classed as a "day trip/holiday" ?

Okd English saying, "In for a penny,in for a pound!
I'll try and explain without without that happening!
It doesn't help when family members who are double jabbed, and are allowed to visit other family members, who are double jabbed, but myself who has actually had covid, and am now naturally immune, and still suffering from long covid, and getting zero help from the NHS,for that, and my other medical reasons, are not allowed, or invited to meet up with other family!
And people like myself, and others on this site, who for medical reasons ,are unable,or unwilling to have a jab,and have been isolating and shielding, are being classed under the same classification as "antivaxers"!
Even though double jabbed, can still catch it, and pass it on!
Just my opinion, but,it feels as if it wont be long till anyone not double jabbed will be unable to access pubs, restaurants, shops, medical assistance!
Just my opinion! Hope it doesn't contravene this sites policy!
My apologies if it does, not my intention, just trying to be honest! Although my reality might be different from someone else's! Lol

Hi @gaz1960
Thanks for your reply, I can see your frustration and totally understand it. It doesn't appear as though there has been enough support for those such as yourself, who haven't been able to or willing to have the vaccine due to medical reasons, and I hope that changes soon so that you can receive support.
Of course on July 19 most of the restrictions were lifted in England, but as you suggested in your post many people are still being cautious about the virus and only meeting people who have been jabbed, which must put you in such an inconvenient situation. Have you explained to family and friends the reasons for which you haven't received the vaccine?
I'm sorry to read that you are still experiencing symptoms of long Covid, and that you aren't receiving support to overcome it. Have you consulted with your health professionals about the vaccine at all? Have they been able to advise on whether you should receive it?

Useless!
Sending me some pamphlets about breathing techniques and yoga techniques! And no long covid clinic's available,no such thing, even though supposed to have been 89 set up with £10 million, but only using physiotherapists, or online, and phone consultation with a "coordinator" to do breathing techniques on the phone! It beggars belief!
To answer, your other question, about having informed family, just my opinion, but if family can act like that, after having the jabs, then,my personal opinion, is the jabs have altered the mindset of having,or altered the behaving with any humanitarian feelings towards people!
Just my personal opinion!
I have no ideals about anyone accepting the jabs,it should, always be,a free choice to each individual,on their own personal circumstances!0 -

Hi @gaz1960 - I keep delving into the available medical literature about Covid-19, & from what I've read scientists seem to not as yet have come to any definitive conclusions about those who have had Covid-19 being necessarily 'naturally immune.' It has been reported that in some who had previously had Covid-19, that a single dose of the Pfizer vaccine increased the number of antibodies they then had by 140 fold compared to pre-vaccination.There is of course more to the immune system than antibodies; the T & B cells, & looking at these as well, it was found in a couple of other (larger) studies that altho antibody levels fell, these cells were present some 8 months later. It just seems with this comparatively new disorder that it's just too soon to know for sure. Please see: https://www.bmj.com/content/373/bmj.n1605 published 30 June 2021Just mentioning this because it might be worthwhile getting your GP/specialists current input as to whether you might benefit from vaccination.About 'long Covid,' whilst being a great believer in breathing exercises (sorry, the physio in me coming out), I can well believe your frustration at the lack of help. There's a lengthy article here about long Covid: https://www.bmj.com/content/374/bmj.n1648 published 26 July 2021 which seems to say that many of the body's organs can be affected (not just your lungs!), but exactly how remains perhaps explainable, but not known for certain. There's certainly a fair bit of self management that NICE, etc. recommend, but there's also acknowledgement that there should be a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation when needed.0
