MR from 2018. Outside of LEAP dates. PIP said they'll ask JobCentre to do an MR on that activity?

Ok so I recently got my report from my previous assessment back in 2018, on looking at mobility question 1 planning journey I noticed the assessor had only put about local journeys and not unfamiliar journeys, I had stated I am OK with local journeys and 1/1 interactions, I phoned up PIP and she said she was going to request the leap team to have a look at it as it involves mental health, I have just had a call from them, the guy was very nice but explained it was just outside the dates for the leap team to intervene he then asked me about my issues and how they affected me and then had a look at my report and agrees it wasn't looked at properly as he can see I said back then about my issues with unfamiliar journeys and that they aren't even mentioned long story short he has said he is putting in a request for bootle jobcentre to do a mandatory reconsideration on that activity and he stated he is writing a compelling email in support of it being changed from A no points to D 10 points
How much clout does he actually have ??
Do they listen more if it is requested from a person who is essentially a decision maker ?

Hi and welcome to the community
I saw this earlier but don't really know the answer
It makes sense but not something I have come across before
If he was a decision maker I'm surprised he hasn't referred it to a manager rather than job centre as they are not involved in pip process
Hope others can maybe help0 -
He just said he agreed it didn't look right but as he was part of the leap review he couldn't change it as not his department but that he would request a mandatory reconsideration and give his backing as he thinks wrong decision was made.0

Hi rang them back up this morning, and yep it's a mandatory reconsideration and it's been allowed been told it's with a decision maker I have a mandatory reconsideration for this year's decision and the person is looking at both of them, the guy read out what the person yesterday sent over and he requested it to be looked at asap no "compelling" assistance in there as I asked if the guy yesterday had written if he believed the original decision was wrong but the guy today said he could have sent an email, I'm not holding my breath here but they are looking at it again which I am surprised at.0

I was just going by what the pip phone line has just told me, I have no idea what's going on then all I do know is apparently they are looking at it so what could that be if its not a MR ??0

Could it be a anytime revision?0

Ok thanks, is there any difference between an MR and anytime revision?
