Hi everyone,
I submitted a fit note on the 19th of April,( but I get paid on the 14th) so my assessment date is around the 8th of every month.
I submitted a fit note on the 19th of April,( but I get paid on the 14th) so my assessment date is around the 8th of every month.
I received a letter on the 29th of April in my journal to say I have been awarded LCWRA and that they will write to me within 7 working days if they owe me any money. I have not heard anything since. I have left messages on my journal but no one has got back to me.
So, is it possible to get awarded LCWRA but not receive any extra money? And if so, can I challenge this?

If you are awarded LCWRA your UC entitlement does increase but only after a wait of three complete UC assessment periods from the date you informed them of your health condition.
Your assessment periods are 8th to 7th each month.
You informed them on 19th April which is in the April to May period.
The three month wait is May to June, June to July and July to August.
You will be entitled to the LCWRA element for the August to September period paid on 19th September.1 -
