So my story is
I was 36 yrs just had my 4th child (10days postpartum) and I had a SCAD heart attack. Paramedics couldn't believe it thought I was having a panic attack. I was taken to hospital where after tests they believed it was a SCAD spontaneous contrary artery dissection. I fitted the criteria stressed young woman just had a baby, not overweight, non drinker. The kept me as an inpatient to b referred to specialist heart and chest hospital - for 2 weeks. I felt ok was up and about while I waited bored really.
In the specialist hospital they ran through tests in an afternoon and a cardiologist decided it was not SCAD but plaque in arteries and a stent should b fitted the next day.
They no best I thought and went to cathlab being told I would be out in a hour to go home. I was in there maybe 10 minutes and I started to have a heart attack while he was fitting stent.
It was a horrific day I w as crying and begging them not to let me die! The pain and anxiety was the worst I kept urinating I couldn't stop it. Sorry if this is too graphic.
I had to have an emergency double heart bypass and was in ICU for a week after.
It was a long road to recovery physically and mentally. I am now claiming pip and esa. My children are young but I had always worked. I have a degree and it's a shame as I don't see myself able to make use of it. I am gutted about what happened to me the cardiologist came into my room in hospital and explained what happened saying the results were unclear it was 50:50 whether it was a tear or plaque so they took a gamble and got it wrong (exactly his words) ??. My life has been turned upside down I take lots of tablets and have heart failure. I have spoke to a solicitor about a medical negligence claim its just so confusing am so angry and upset about it all still grateful for any opinions on this it happened September 2019. Thanku

Hi @karencads777 welcome to the forum. Sorry to read about all your health worries and concerns. Are you getting support from family, freinds or a Councillor?
It may help to speak to someone to get support. Good luck with your case. -
Hi yes thanku I think I may need to make appointment at doctors next week I feel a bit low about it all sometimes and have a dull pain \ ache in chest and collarbone a lot. Sorry to moan I am also very grateful to be here still with my childrenxx

@karencads777 your not moaning, if you have a pain in your chest it might be best to ring 111 for advice rather then wait for gp, you can also see gp, but think it's best to get advise on the pain as soon as possible really.

Gosh, that sounds like a lot to deal with @karencads777! There's no need to apologise for having a 'moan', you've really been through it and we all need to get things off our chest sometimes.
I'd definitely encourage you to speak to your doctor both about your low mood and the pain you've been experiencing. It sounds as though it was quite a traumatic experience for you so you need time to recover both physically and mentally, as you've said.
