I get lowest payment from PIP. I've been diagnosed with MND. Does this change my entitlement?

Hi and welcome to the community
Pip isn't about a diagnosis but how your condition affects your daily living
You can report a change in circumstances but would get expert advice before
If there has been no change in your functionality then you wouldn't necessarily get a higher award
Also reporting a change will start the process off again
As for other benefits hard to comment when we don't know your household details or what other benefits you claim or if anyone is working
I suggest you do a benefits calculator on gov website to check
Having a new condition may not have any impact on what you can claim1 -
Hi @bobt10
this is one thing I can really advise about, as I am an MND specialist nurse. I suggest you go to MND association website and find details about their benefits hotline. They are brilliant and will help with upgrading your PIP and seeing what else you can claim.
there is also tons of good advice their
do you have a specialist nurse? You can find about about local one for your area there too.
good luck with benefits0
