Hello I’ve been awarded pip from April and they said it will be backdated. But because I’ve got debt management in place universal credit they said that’s pip that u/c could take all the arrears is this correct help ?

Hi and welcome to the community
Yes that is correct if you think about it logically if you have a debt to dwp then they don't owe you
They will deduct the amount from any arrears you have
You can try and challenge this but don't think you will get anywhere
On a positive it will help clear the debt0
