Hi all
Joining @woodbine and @MarkN88 waiting for results and tests
Had my routine diabetic review today nurse happy with everything relating to diabetes
However was action required note from gp that my blood and urine test showed concerns over kidney function
Now waiting for call tomorrow about what gp wants to do next
I'm not overly concerned but like the others a waiting game

Jane, I can sympathise greatly, it’s hard to be told something may be wrong and need investigating. I hope you get answers soon.1

Hello @janer1967
Sorry to hear this, I have had several tests this year and found the waiting bit was always the hardest part.
I hope you (and everyone else waiting for them) have your answers very soon.. X

Best wishes @janer1967
Hope everything turns out OK.
I've been waiting results of second chest xray after the first one showed something or nothing ...
First time my GP rang a couple of days after but this time it's been about ten days and heard nowt....so I'm going to take take that as a good sign
Then worry later if I need too ...lol0 -
@janer1967 @Cress and everyone waiting for test results, sending you lots of positive thoughts! The waiting period can feel like an absolute age - I truly hope everything is fine

@janer1967 hope every thing goes OK.0

Hoping all will be will @janer1967 - my GP had concerns over my kidney function a couple of years ago. A repeat test was done a couple of weeks later, which then showed this was within normal limits.

Bit of update
The test had shown up issues with saturation levels and with other symptoms like ongoing cough and phlem which I put down to smokers cough the concern is now it could be early copd
Waiting to speak to gp who isn't back till Tues
Not asking for medical advice judt anyone had similar0 -
I take ventolin and a steroid inhaler for asthma/copd as its put in my medical records...never actually had mention of copd from gp it's just in my notes .
Only had problems with coughing when I've not used my inhaler...
I also smoke.1 -
It's good that they've caught it early if that's what it ends up being @janer1967
Sorry, I'm sure you've probably mentioned this elsewhere, but do you smoke currently?

@Tori_Scope
Yes I smoke and have done since I was 15 years old so nearly 40 years
Only got myself to blame think its time to follow in @woodbine steps and give it up easier said than done0 -
Have you had lung function tests, I was born with bad lungs and endless lung function tests, they told me my lungs were now copd.0
-
@Sandy_123 no not yet waiting for gp to discuss next steps0
-
It's definitely not easy, but I imagine that's something they'll suggest to you @janer1967. They should be able to offer you some support in quitting, if that's something you'd find helpful or motivating. We're all rooting for you!0
-
Thanks @Tori_Scope need to wait and see only concerns at present no doubt need further tests and agree that will be first thing they suggest if it is copd
I have quit before using a support programme but unfortunately started again When my marriage broke up no excuse
