Does anyone know if it's law that a disabled toilet should be on the ground floor?

Just wondering if it is law to have the disabled toilet on the ground floor

I would think it’s a given but I actually have no idea, sorry.

I don’t know if stair lifts make any difference…mm0 -
Been to work and restaurants where they have been below as well as above ground floor - lift access on each. Not sure - contact your Council Planners’ for a clear opinion0

Just a thought but you might enquire about this with your local council. ?1

from my understanding a disabled toilet doesn't have to be on the ground floor, it just has to be assessable. So if its not on the ground floor there needs to be a lift or some way a wheel chair user can use the toilet. I've used plenty of disabled toilets and some are on the ground floor and some are on the 1st floor but had a lift.
