    HI,

I'm assuming you posted it recorded delivery as you say they got it on the 13th? If so then although it's been signed for it wouldn't have been signed for by someone from DWP. It would have been someone from Royal Mial.

All post going to DWP goes to a mail sorting office first and it's not classed as arriving with DWP until it's been added to the computer, which can take a few weeks, sometimes longer at them moment because of the backlogs. There's also huge postal backlogs at the moment. It's a complete waste of money send anything to DWP this way and all that's needed a proof of posting, which is free.

You said you were told you have another 49 days for them to receive it, which is plenty of time. I know it's easier said than done but please try not to worry.

Hi ,poppy123456 is correct in saying try not to worry and stress yourself out you have proof of posting your appeal the cogs turn very slowly at DWP you will be fine  :) I recently completed a mandatory appeal letter for my sister which was successful waited about 25 days for the response,

It took about 8 weeks for my award review form to arrive at the dwp, this is because of royal mail, that did not stop them from sending me 2 reminders, after several phone calls i found out there finally have it and was told it could be up to 10 weeks for a response.... its slow. very slow.

The reminders are automatically generated by the computer, even if you have an extension to return the form, the reminders are still sent.

Yep, still didnt stop me from panic mode was all resolved with a quick phone call, they told me they have extended return times due to royal mail delays.
