In 2018 I've also had what the gps call skin tag but another medical [professional said that doesn't look like any skin tag they have seen might be a signs diabetes or cancerous so this one gp issues me antibiotics says it will take care of it this my second growth but it didn't do any thing keep in mind I purchased / provided all antiseptic/ medicated creams \salves and surgical wash and also I was very persistent so supposedly in 2019 I was referred to dermatology now in 08/ 2021 I was told by a gp I have to 36 more months so i call for another gp this other one in Aug. 2021 types an urgent request to dermatology to have me seen quicker cause it fell off their deciding to cancel my dermatology appointment even though its.
Now an open open wound and prone to infection basically the 111 called the gp clinic and told them this about open wound and and prone to infection so 111 made my gp literally call me now when the gp called she was furious and tells me why I called 111 well 111 told me to call if it gets worse and the pain did so I called 111 and basically the gp didn't want me to get 111 involved on the inside of my right leg in the middle 1 cm from my private genitalia and was the size of a (q tip end) and disappeared the next day then it grew back the second time and stayed.
since 2018 it was oozing brown liquid and would smell absolutely awful and eventually got bigger time goes by now its (12/08/2021) it starts bleeding cause it filled up with blood so I'm cleaning it with apple cider vinegar so on 20/08/2021 it falls off now that type of vinegar acts as a astringent and disinfects it thus fort removing the awful odder now keep in mind this is how I been treated By Gps thier staff nurses and practice managers of the NH's medical services Since 2011 in shropshire Telford area and Wolverhampton and west midlands mainly Coventry and Birmingham surrounding areas.
Small things they could have treated the first, second and third time and could have been treated earlier instead of many years ahead of time and every thing is still not treated just getting worse every thing I typed here The nhs leaves me in this situation and just lets my life and health deuterate in the mean while I've always tried my best to take care of my self in this situation but with out proper medical care the human being begins to parish, Now were Aug/ 2021...........

Hi @Masada
Thanks for telling us about your experience. Although I understand you have had limited success with getting treatment so far, I would advise you seek medical attention asap as to avoid the suspected skin tag becoming any more problematic through home remedies.
I appreciate you've come across multiple barriers to 'being seen', but would you consider asking your GP surgery for a second opinion so another practitioner could observe your skin tag and assess if a dermatology appointment was still needed?
Also, there's a complaints process that can be followed if you're unhappy with any aspect of your NHS care. Here's more information about 'How to complain to the NHS'.
Take care and please keep us posted with how you get on.0 -
