Hi all, my sister turned 16 this month and few days after we received a letter to call it she wanted to apply for PIP by the end of the month. We called nearly 2 weeks ago, and we haven’t received the pip form yet and also her DLA has stopped, which we thought was going to be paid until they made a decision on PIP. Can anyone help please ? Thank you ?

HI and welcome,Usually when someone reaches their 16th birthday the DLA payment cycles change so it shouldn't have completely stopped. Payments continue until a decision's been made on the PIP providing the forms are returned within the deadline. To know for certain what's happening with her DLA then someone will need to ring DLA to ask. There's huge backlogs with the post coming from and going to DWP at the moment so this is probably the reason why no form has been received. Although again, a call should be made to PIP to check to see if the forms have been sent.Hope this helps.0

Thank you so much for your reply.
We might have to call them and ask what’s going on as her DLA is normally paid every 28 days on Tuesday and we didn’t get any payment this week.0 -

Hi all again,
my mom has just realised that they did pay £83 on the 3rd of August so after 2 days that my sister turned 16.
Obviously it’s not the same amount she was getting but at least doesn’t seem it’s has been stopped, just wondering how it will get paid ? I believe as you all said to call DLA and ask them some clarification0 -
