Hello everyone.
I really am so cross at my doctor ?
In December I was tested for Carpal tunnel syndrome took several weeks for the results to come though to my doctor had a phone appointment with him middle of February 2021.he said Your results are fine but maybe borderline? ? He said the pain was Osteoarthritis and RA in both wrists,
So since the middle of February I have been suffering with none stop pain in both hands and continuing to work in my job as a retail assistant filling shelves. Heavy work ?? Fast forward to August. I had a consultation with a specialist rheumatologist who requested the results from my Gp for my carpal tunnel results. It took my gp 2 weeks to send them.
I Finished work this afternoon to an answer phone message from the specialist to phone back to Book surgery for both my wrist as I do have carpal tunnel in Both wrist. As he said he can now explain why I am in So much pain and have caused more damage than I had in February when I apparently ok .
I could of had this surgery mor then 7 months ago. Now I have to wait another 6 weeks for my surgery. So cross ??
Sorry for the rant ?

PIP isn't about a diagnosis, it's how those conditions affect your ability to carry out activities based on the PIP descriptors.0 -
I did a Mandatory appeal and still received 0 points as it didn't apparently affect my ability to do daily tasks. And if I can hold a mobile phone I dont require P I P .
Even when I told them I was doing the whole phone assessment on Hands Free . Did appeal but failed that as well.0 -

Even when I told them I was doing the whole phone assessment on Hands Free . Did appeal but failed that as well. There's 10 daily living activities and 2 mobility activities. You can have a disability but not qualify for PIP because if you don't meet the descriptors, you won't score the points for an award. You can of course apply again but if you use the same evidence you previously used you're likely going to be refused again. (the diagnosis, isn't going to help) With the expected surgery this may even go against you, especially if recovery is expected within 9 months. Part of the criteria for PIP is that you expect the conditions to last at least another 9 months.0 -

Thankyou I did consider reapplying from scratch but your right it might Cancel what I have out altogether. I have also got medically worse since I applied this year. Think I might wait now and see how my surgery goes and how well I heal. I do work in retail with lots of heavy lifting and moving stock around on a daily basis.0 -
