The pandemic will have naturally held the process up even more than it already was. At the moment you have your DLA and that's a good thing. Of course you can start the PIP process off yourself but before doing this you definitely need expert advice.

Just going to wait until it arrives

do you think it’s a matter of months / years before it’s complete ?‍♂️

That’s the problem. I have a feeling I could be worse off

thats why I was wondering if there was a rough date it was going to be completed by so I no how long roughly I’ll have the money I’m on the now at least

If you went and sought proper advice though and explained how you are impacted and they can gather all the information needed to see where you would score points on a PIP assessment than you would know if you were better off or not. No one can give you a date it would be speculation.

There are some people that will have a higher award for PIP than they did for DLA. There's some that will have a lower award and believe it or not there's also others that won't qualify at all because you can have a disability but if you don't meet the descriptors, you won't score the points needed for an award.

Well I had a look at what scores points and I would have no where near enough points with this new system

As advised though, would it not be better to talk it through with a professional advisor first though? Sometimes we are not the best judges when it comes to things like this and other people might be able to identify where you would score points.

In the meantime if you don’t want to get that advice then all you can do is sit and wait until they finally do ask you to move over.

You need to seek an appointment with Welfare Rights Advisor near you, say Benefits Advice at your local authority or CAB.
