My original name of onevoice, came about when I found that no one was listening to me when I made statements at meetings.  This changed when I became a senior H & S Officer, and actually challanging the CEO as to why he was not wearing any PPE?  A manager pulled me to one side and said don't you know who that is?  ( We had just been taken over. ) I said no and he obviously dosent know who I am and unless you get him some PPE I will personally **** him back to the office myself.
   Called to the office to a meeting of L1 and L2 managers and the owner, where I was promoted to Senior Safety Officer and Design Engineer.  He purposly turned up with no PPE gear to see if anyone challanged him.
  I was then known as onebigvoice, and have been since that was 20 years ago.

@onebigvoice..That is an interesting story..a bit like the TV programme...where the Owner of a Company goes undercover...to check what's happening ...and what they actually think of their work place...asking for any suggestions how to make it better etc.

My thought was it’s a bit like in Full Metal Jacket where one of the recruits stands up to the drill instructor. There is a bit of a pause and you think he’s going to get a smack but the drill instructor says he admires the bravery and promotes him.

I am a bit boring compared to some lol, we loved Jim Carey as the grinch, i made a lifesized statue for a collector friend and the name stuck, i use it in a couple of different places, i'm not really a grinch in real life, love christmas and all the hullabaloo that goes with it
