A community campaigner and former borough councillor for Newbold and Brownsover has been left 'gutted' after he was subjected to vile abuse because of his disability in the town centre.

    commiserations @nandbkieren, my son also gets abused from time to time but actually many more people are helpful and kind to him when he’s out and about. 

    I think sometimes people say hurtful things like that to just show off, sometimes it’s aggression towards someone they see as weak in some way and won’t fight back. Not that I’m advocating fighting back,  that could be extremely dangerous.
