Does back pay come separately from 1st payment? Do payments always come the same day of the week?

sorry just a quickie
if I am granted award as recommended in Assessors report, when decision letter arrives, do you get back pay separately from from 1st months payment or does it come together. I also read payment is every 28/ days, so is it always same day of week?

Backpay is usually paid separately yes. 

It’s every 28 days, so different date, but always same day of the week, unless it falls on a bank holiday and than on that occasion it would be paid early.
