What are we coming to?
I have offered my skills for free but they won't take it, I have said pay ot into my pension, they won't. The government and Labour party are asking for people who have retired and can give skills back to its members to do so, so again offered and no reply except they stopped my benefits for 6 months while they checked if I could work or are already working?
I get between 2 and 5 e-mails a month like this.
Hello David ,
Cardiff council won't allow me to except any position unless I pay 85% in the pound off extra earned income. That means I am working for 15pence in the pound per hourly rate. Example £20/hour rate gives me £3.00/hour. minus tax? the government really need to look at this, how am I supposed to get any savings when at the moment EVERY POUND OVER the amount they say I need to live on is stopped at 85%, they say our pension ( married couple ) is £33 over the limit and is stopped at source by council tax and housing benefits, I get less £28.05 in my pension now, try adding this to it...

Hello @onebigvoice. Who are you receiving these emails from? Is it a recruitment company?0
-
Yes it is, sinnce my C V has been with them since I became registered as disabled over 25 years ago.
They head hunt me for teaching and Mechanical Engineering posts as well as managerial posts, which is great but because of the latest legislation and that my disability is really getting the better of me, I am restricted so I have become an active community member of Unite, hence the use of documents in law or tribunal that I use for other members.
The latest reason of course is that the Cariff Council will not explain this excess of income I have or that any income is now classed as unearned so is placed against my benefits at the rate of 85% in the pound.
Even Branson doesn't pay that?0 -

Hope this explains why I can't have any grey areas in a post, and do like comments about my posts since I also am learning by experience, and can accomodate information given as I up grade files or cross reference them for future reference, this includes subject that I don't know but still willing to learn about because it interests me.
