It depends what exactly the decision was. If it was Limited Capability for work related acitivty (LCWRA) then there's a 3 month waiting period and payments start from the 4th month of your claim, starting from when you reported your health condition. When it's paid from exactly will depend on the date you reported your health condition and what dates your assessment periods are.If the decision was Limited capability for work (LCW) there's no extra money each month. You'll need to look at your decision letter on your journal to see exactly which one you've been awarded.0

Hi @Janie1811
I hope the reply above has been helpful, are you aware of whether you were awarded LCWRA or LCW?0 -
I spoke on the phone today and they said I Ave got lwcra. So I put on my journal asking Wat I would be getting the lady said if there was any money to be backdated it would be 3 months after the 16.10.21. I first put a sick note in on 13th Feb.0

If this was your first work capability assessment the waiting period starts from when you first reported your health condition as advised. You should expect the extra money from either June or July but it will depend on the exact dates of your assessment periods because it's 3 FULL assessment periods, then it's paid from the 4th month.0

So any idea why she said 3 months after the 16.10.21 my assessment. So will I get the extra money starting on the 10 November when I usually get paid off uc. X0

Why you ring them, you are speaking to someone from a call centre, not someone from DWP. They mostly have very limited benefit knowledge and will be reading from a screen. It's not the place to ring if you need advice.

My assessment period is 4 to the 3 so will I get the start of my lwrca on the 10th plz0
-
That means your waiting period is March/April, April/May, May/June, LCWRA starts from AP dated 4th July - 3rd August. So they owe you 3 months backdated money. Going forward you will receive the LCWRA element each month.Backdated money is paid separately but they need to re-calculate your past statements to see how much they owe you and this can take a few weeks. Once it's done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you how much they owe you.0
