can housing element be backdated to reimburse rent paid in advance?

im currently in supported housing bidding on council houses, in receipt of housing element. all of the council houses require at least a few weeks rent in advance. i will have to pay this upfront but my question is can housing element be backdated to cover this or am do i have to pay out of pocket for the first month?

The housing element will only be paid from the date you move into the property from what I understand but sometimes you can get help with moving costs and advance payments through the council0 -
Rent in advance will be paid from your own pocket. You can apply for a discretionary housing payment from your local Authority to help pay for rent in advance and potential moving costs. See link.
