Covid 19. What do you think should be done? Should we go into another lockdown?

What happened to the nightingale hospitals, were they ever used and how much did they cost?
Interesting article from last year here
    https://www.kingsfund.org.uk/blog/2021/04/nhs-nightingale-hospitals-worth-money

The overlooked bit - staffing (what a surprise).

According to FOI request from last August total cost was about £220 million

A drop in the ocean compared to Track and Trace.

Friends of mine are putting themselves in lockdown and doing home tests to be  able to meet on Xmas day.
Others are postponing get- togethers until ny eve.
I'm staying at home because I don't really do Christmas but I would normally be with them on Christmas day.
This all feels very  uncertain for the whole country. Anything could happen during the week until Christmas day.

I'm effectively going back into lockdown, but its normal life for me.  I don't do Christmas or New Year anyway so I don't normally see anyone and I can't get out if the weather is against me.

I live alone and don't have a family apart from my fur babies.

I've stocked my freezer because its a nightmare trying to get a supermarket delivery at this time of year, but I'll be ordering again in January.

Personally, I think a two week lockdown after Christmas will be too little too late as normal with this government and I'd listen to Prof Chris Whitty over Boris any day.
