Or everyone just calls me Kat. I am an Australian and live in Australia, an Aussie yes that's me!
I have a few experiences of living with others with a disability (my daughter is legally blind, and my husband has mobility issues), and I also have now developed my own issues with chronic pain etc.
Though out my life I have seen how this world, in general terms, does not or a small amount of people even think of how those with disability issues get by in life; e.g. stairs, printed menus, etc. How snap judgements are made by how someone appears not listen to what they need. It can be frustrating and disheartening, even sometimes degrading. But I do believe that education is the key to change in the long run, like any other prejudice behaviour.
So take care everyone I look forward to being part of the community.

It's great to hear that you're so passionate about equality for disabled people. What kind of education do you think could help reduce levels of prejudice towards disabled people?
