Generally people advise between 2 and 12 weeks, it will vary area to area and also dependant on the workload of the decision maker you are allocated to.0

I applied on the 13/9, telephone assessment on 10/1. Text on 11/1 advising dwp have received my report. Called dwp 18/1 for copy of report and told 2-4 weeks for decision. 😊1

2-4 weeks is very optimistic, other threads here suggest anything up to 12 weeks. Some are still waiting 9 weeks after the assessment.

I agree, it is very optimistic. Just saying what the agent said yesterday. The original text said 8 weeks but again just guidelines as you quite rightly say other members are still waiting some 12 weeks after. Fingers crossed we all get a decision soon. Take care0

Hi @dayz1703
I hope both @MarkM88 and @treborsenoj have been able to answer your question?
Thanks for highlighting your application process dates @treborsenoj, I'm sure it will be very insightful for a lot of our members0 -
Hi
I hope you get a decision quickly. I too got the text saying they had received my report on 11/1 - I requested a copy on Monday and received today. I think I and the assessor were having different conversations during the assessment. Completely missed my over arching physical disability which I reported to her many times and supplied medical evidence. Report is contradictory through out and my husband just said it sounds like its confused with someone else lol! I could not have been clearer about my situation and how I am affected.
Waiting for the actual decision now and if its based on this fabrication - I will be in the process a lot longer.0 -
I hope you get a decision soon. Keep us updated. I will as well0

I received a copy of my assessment today. I scored 10 for daily living and 4 for mobility. I thought the assessor seemed lovely and thorough at the time but the report contradicts this. Scoring 4 is a joke. I know this is only a recommendation to the DM will just have to wait for the decision letter.0

Hello @treborsenoj I'm sorry to hear the report on your assessment was disappointing, but remember, the one that makes the final decision is the decision maker- as you say it's only a recommendation.
If you can, try to focus on other things for now, things you enjoy doing, or people you enjoy spending time with- that will help with the wait for the letter.
We're here to support you whatever happens, so don't hesitate to reach out if you need to.

The first step to appeal is the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) before doing this you should get some expert adviced to check that you can score more points for a higher award. For this, start here. https://advicelocal.uk/
