Private Advice on Benefits?

Hi Folks.

Is there anyway I can contact a benefits advisor in total privacy on Scope?
I have had two discussions today on Benefits with two different people.
The one person used to "work" at
C A B.
So they know their stuff.

The other person's Mother has the same problem as me.
She gets way more P. I. P than me.
Another reason I want it to remain private is also because I need to contact someone who will after I tell them how my disability affects me daily, they may advise on a Social Worker, this was suggested by the
C A B worker.
Sorry for the question to be vague. Regards

PIP is about impact of health on ability to do the prescribed activities to the required standard. Two people with the same health condition may be impacted differently.

You really can’t compare someone else to yourself. PIP is not about a diagnosis. For expert advice start here https://advicelocal.uk/

Absolutely. With my health issues some would expect me to be in bed 24/7. I don't and I still enjoy a full life despite the issues. My PIP has been awarded because I 'fitted' the various descriptors at a relevant level and not because I have a long list of medical issues.

Hi @oldngrumpy :) I'm a little unclear on what you mean by this. Do you mean that you would or wouldn't want to be given the advice that you should contact a social worker?

    I would like advice on contacting a S. W.
I don't know how to go about it.

    Hey @oldngrumpy :)

I just wanted to check in to see if you would still like some support from Scope with a social care referral?

I see @chiarieds has provided a link to the self referral page; have you managed to take a look at the page, or would you like us to help you with this?
