Hello everyone,

thank you for your time to read this post and possibly for your contribution to research.

I am a disabled academic researcher and am investigating experiences of disabled children’s participation in healthcare decision-making.

📢 I am inviting disabled children and young people from England aged 10 to 22 who experienced some form of orthopaedic treatments in their childhood and their parents to take part in the research.

We would talk about things how you decided to pursue some treatments and how healthcare professionals communicated with you and informed you. I will ask you whether you felt you were listened to or what supports you had to make a decision.

🩺👨‍⚕️I am hoping to use research findings to create the recommendations for healthcare systems to make sure that disabled children and their families have their say in treatment decisions, and that they are listened to by health professionals and adequately informed on available treatment options.

📞 Those people who are interested to take part can write to me at  R.Keravica@leeds.ac.uk to express interest and to get more information.

🎁 All research participants, young people and parents alike, will get a small token of appreciation from me to show my gratitude for your time - shopping vouchers of 20 GBP.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
