Husband didn't realise it was the PIP assessor on the phone, so he's been turned down. Any advice?

My hubby applied for pip he has no large bowel due to cancer so struggles to hold his bowels when needs to go hes a diabetic works 40 hours a week struggles ip assesor gave no warning when contacting him for assesment no text letter anything ge had a TIA ministroke lasted 45 minutes ambulance driver was on phone to stroke clinic said they will contact him ASAP phone rang asked for my hubby asked who it was didn't answer passed him phone he thought it was stroke nurse answered everything OK saying he needed no help etc because he didn't want to lose his job thinking they would contact his work and they can be known not to let employee go back hes 59 loves his job at a shop and they have turned him down saying he answered phone could do everything

Please can you advice us what to do complained about the assesor he ket saying I carnt hear you could you ease explain what you mean that was with his hearing aids in they said he shown no sign of communication difficulty0
