Hi everyone. I am getting ESA contribution based and I am put in support group . I have two jobs 1 is full time NHS job and getting full occupational sickness pay due to my long term illness and from my 2nd job which is NHS bank pay as you earn from where I am getting only ESA contribution payments now they put me on support group .
last week I had meeting with my NHS occupational appointment to review my condition they suggest me to start work from home until you get better but I am worried about my 2nd job will they stop paying me ESA payments. Do I still entitled to claim ESA contribution one ? I am not in position to go to work due to my chronic fatigue syndrome and still I am under treatment and having physiotherapy going on . Can I still use my medical sickness note due to my illness while I soon start work from home and claim ESA how is that ? Your comments really appreciate. Thanks

You can do permited work while claiming ESA but you must make sure you work less than 16 hours per week and earn no more than £143 per week. Anymore than this and you won't be entitled to ESA. You must tell DWP that you are working and you will need to fill out a form. Details in link.

I am claiming ESA from my second bank job but I am not looking forward to work for them work from home because for them I need to go out for work from home which I am not able to . So can I claim ESA while my 1st job offer me to work from home initially start with 4 hours .? I am bit confused.

    As already advised by poppy

I mentioned above that I have two jobs and I clearly mentioned that to DWP that 1st full time job I am getting full sickness pay and I also mentioned that I was doing also 2nd job and they just pay me SSP for 28 weeks than they started pay me ESA contribution based than after assessment they put me on support group. It’s all related to my 2nd job . What do you think how they decide to pay me ESA while if I start working from my 1st job. I am getting full pay from 1st job for a more than £145 week but not from 2nd job . It’s so confusing.

You’re not claiming ESA from any job, you claim this through DWP,
it has nothing to do with your job.
Regardless of which job you do you can work but you must make sure it’s less than 16 hours.
There’s nothing stopping you working more than this but you won’t be entitled to ESA if you do.

Yes you can, occupational sick pay is ignored. What you cannot do is receive ESA while getting SSP or if you work and exceed the Permitted Work limits referred to in earlier replies.
