Had a telephone appointment yesterday with one of the G. P.
I explained that some days I couldn't get out of bed bcs painful Gout/Arthritis.
Because of the above I am sometimes bedroom bound/house bound. I cannot dress or feed myself, it's that painful
He said he was getting in touch with an Occupational Health.
Have any folks reading this had any help off O. H. If so were they any good. How did they help you (Unless personal)
What can a O. H help with?
Thank you

Yes they are good. They can help with equipment to makes things easier for you, what, depends on the person, they offer a whole range. Bars on out side and inside of the house, raised toilet seats, raised chair raiser's, commodes, items to help with personal care, they suggest all sorts of equipment, ie, kettle tippers, long handled sponges, an item to put shoes n socks on. The list is endless really. Very much worth having an assessment.1

That sounds like a positive step forwards @oldngrumpy
I'm sorry to hear that you're still struggling to do your daily activities due to pain, but fingers crossed this appointment will help. Did you mention anything to your GP about wanting a social care referral, too?
I don't have any personal experience of occupational therapy to share, but I did find this page on Versus Arthritis that talks a little bit about what the possible outcomes could be.1 -
