Hi. My husband and i have claimed for universal credit he is disabled on high rate mobility and low rate care and i am his carer. My son is also disabled on high rate care and mobility and my husband is his carer. We both get carers allowance. We have had our assessment result and we have been given the basic amount i see on here a lot about carers element we filled in the original application and said we were both carers but haven't been given this. Can anyone give me advice what to do about this. Thanks for your help0

If you mean you want help simply making a UC claim you could try

who can support you over the phone to complete an application0 -
Other question is detailed in here - https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/88406/hi-my-name-is-nicky#latest0

Are the two lots of Carers allowance shown as deductions? Do either of you get the LCWRA element?0 -
Sorry my husband and i have today recieved a answer on our universal claim which says we are entitled to a basic amount. My husband is disabled and recieves low rate living and high rate mobility pips and i am his carer. Also my son is disabled and recieves high rate mobility and care and my husband is his carer. We did say we were both carers when we applied and i was wondering is their anything else i need to do as i have read a lot about the carers element but nothing was on the award.
Thanks0 -
It was our award statement0

Both carers were shown as deductions we dont receive anything else0

Then you should have two carer elements included in the calculation. Post a message as a payment query. Something along the lines of “As you know we both receive Carer’s Allowance and we therefore understand we are both entitled to the carer element as part of the calculation. These are not shown on our recent statement. Please review the statement.”
Have you got the child element and the child disability elements included?
Has your husband declared his health condition and is he seeking a Work Capability Assessment? If he were awarded the LCWRA element he would lose the carer element but the LCWRA element is worth more.0 -
We have done a universal application including his pips but that is all we have done saying we are both carers and today the statement cam with nothing about disability or carers on it at all0

My son is 31 and gets esa. Would my husband getting the care element affect his money0

Getting the carer element does not affect the ESA. You’re husband is already claiming Carer’s Allowance so the carer element should be included.
Are you saying that that the only thing shown on the statement is the Standards Allowance?

Nowhere on universal have they asked about my husbands disabilty just what rate of pips he gets not as in what is wrong with him. The statement just says we will get a standard allowance of 509.91 and a housing of 550.00 then they took off 585.86 for both carers allowance leaving us with 801.510
