Hiya all i am a 48 year old  fully qualified FCA Compliance Officer I am presently off work long term and have been on ESA for 11 months start of 06/03/21. Only recently 26/01/22 have i had the work Capability Assessment, The Assessor stated that i qualify on at least 3 of the descriptors for Limited Capability for work. Hi,
The assessor should not have said anything to you because that's not their job to do that. Only a decision maker can decide whether you're placed into either of the groups.
If you're placed into the WRAG/limited capability for work, there's no extra money and your ESA will stop after 1 year of payments.
If you're placed into the Support Group/limited capability for work related activity then your payments increase to £114.10 per week and you will receive extra money from week 14 of your claim and payments continue for as long as you remain in this group.
If you're found fit for work then payments stop from the date the decision is made.
You can request the Mandatory Reconsideration if you're not happy with the decision.
Decision waiting times are between 2-12 weeks, sometimes longer.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
