Hi @billand
Welcome to Scope's forum. It is great to see you have joined us. How are you today? Unfortunately, footwear is not an area of my expertise. This means I am hoping someone with more knowledge in this area can respond to you soon. However, in the meantime, I just wanted to greet you and say we hear you!0 -
Hi there
I have 1 prosthetic leg but tbh I don't wear it
Do you not get any advice from the prosthetic clinic, I just used to buy normal shoes flat ones easy slip on and usually wide fitting
But my clinic used to make adjustments to the prosthetic leg yo suit the shoes I wanted to wear they even said they couod adjust them so I could wear high heels if required
I can't use my prosthetic leg as my knee keeps dislocating and balance issues and also severely sight impaired0 -
Hi @janer1967
Thanks for your response. All your continued support within our community is really appreciated. If you feel comfortable, I was wondering if you would like to tell us more about how you have found the shoes? And I am sorry to hear you are struggling, if we can do anything to help please do just let us know!0 -
Hello @billand and welcome to the community, I would echo janer1967's advice, definitely speak to your prosthetic clinic about what specialist support and solutions they can offer.
I'm not sure of orthopedic services would also be useful to speak to, but they used to provide insole's for my shoes when I was growing up, to try and counteract the posture imbalance from my CP.
If anything else comes up, do let us know, and keep us updated in the meantime if you can0
