PIP text after Telephone assesment

Hi,
I applied for PIP 9th September 2021, had a telephone assessment last Wednesday 9th February which lasted 2 hours (no complaints, the assessor was lovely and really helped me feel at ease). It was very very thorough.
I have seen people commenting that they received a text message to say the report had been submitted to DWP But I haven't received anything...should I be worried? How long do these texts take? I'm in Scotland if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance

Hi,It has been known for them not to send a text once the report has been returned. However, sometimes the report is chosen for audit, it's nothing for you to worry about, it's just them checking the assessor did their job correctly. If this has happened it delays sending the report back to DWP because it won't be returned until the audit it complete. This has happened to me and the longest it's been in an audit for me is 6 weeks. There's nothing more you can do until a decision's been made, which can take anything between 2-12 weeks, sometimes longer.0

Do you think its worth a phonecall to find out? Or should I just keep playing the waiting game0
-
It's your decision whether you choose to do that. Personally, i don't think it would help and could cause more anxiety than you're already experiencing. I know it's difficult but try to concentrate on something else.

Hello @SugarFud thanks for reaching out with your query, and welcome to the community. I've just moved it over into our PIP category so it's easier for our members to find.
I don't think you need to worry, but if you feel making a call would help reassure you, then you can do that In the meantime, as poppy has mentioned, it might be best to try and focus on other things for a bit, to help ease your worries.
What sorts of things do you like to do to relax?
I hope you get a positive outcome from the assessment, we'd love to know how you get on so keep us updated if you can, and we'll be here to support you whatever happens. If you're still unsure of anything, please just shout.

Thanks for responses. I ended up calling and of course, mine was selected for audit....just my luck!0

Ah, that's frustrating, but hopefully it won't be too long @SugarFud! Keep us updated. It's been good to see you commenting on other posts, too1

I just called the helpline because I hadn't received a text, the automated system says my next payment is 3700...which would be full award from when I applied BUT it says my first payment is 14th September??? Has anyone else had this? I'm stuck in a queue to speak to someone now0

I find that automated system very odd because we’ve had some members that have been given incorrect information from it. I would take it with a pinch of salt.
You rang a couple of days ago and were told the report hasn’t yet been returned to DWP. A decision won’t be made until the report has been returned.0 -
A decision has been made. I was awarded high rate for both care and mobility and first payment is Thursday.
The guy said the system sometimes pulls the month from the original application.
I'm just glad it's finally done and I can stop panicking2 -
Great news, thank you for sharing @sugarfud Take a deep breath and relax tonight if you can!0

Sometimes they will ring if they have any further questions to ask. Although we can only guess what the reason was.
