Hi and welcome to the community I am sorry about your pain
Unfortunately we are unable to give any medical advice here as we are not trained
Even if someone is on the same medication you should only follow advice from your gp or pharmacist
I suggest you call the pharmacy or possibly 111 -
aw no problem thank you

I take 3 x 10mg Amitriptyline a night, which helps with my sleep but doesn`t completely stop the pain. My surgery won`t prescribe anything for the day; they just keep saying "try physio".I`ve found that when I take Naproxen for something else (2 x 500mg a day), it didn`t make a blind bit of difference to my back pain during the day.Andy -
I`ve just noticed the date of the first post - doh!

Hiya @jo46! ❤️ I am sincerely sorry to hear about your degenerative disc and chronic pain. You poor soul, that must be really difficult for you.
Perhaps you could ask your GP Doctor for a medication review if you feel the tablets are not giving you pain relief?
Also, there is an organisation called Pain Concern, which you may find useful to contact them for information about pain management.
