Yes, only 1 LCWRA element can be paid per claim. See link and scroll to F5010 https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/864911/admf5.pdfDid your partner already have LCWRA element when you claimed UC as a couple?Do either of you claim PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care?
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -

McNair35 said:Hi yes my partner was already receiving lcwra and we both get enhanced rate daily living pipThat means you won't be owed any money for LCWRA element. However, you can claim the Carers element of UC for looking after your partner (unless someone else claims this or carers allowance) which will increase your UC by £163.73 per month. This would mean your partner claims LCWRA and you claim carers element. You need to "report a change of circumstances" then report being a carer.

It's very difficult to get the carers element backdated if you didn't report being a carer when you started your claim. There's no harm in putting a note on your journal under the payments section to ask but don't get your hopes up.
