@Nicetomeetyou22 - Oh, I feel even more unique! I don't mind shop refrigerated sandwiches but I can't tolerate home refrigerated sandwiches. My sandwiches at home have to be left out on the side or made fresh. What is your favourite food that you make yourself?  :)

Naughty phone! Spag bol sounds fabulous @Nicetomeetyou22. I can hear how it may be less appetising after already cooking for 7 people though.

It sounds like you have a wide range of dishes you like to cook. Just make sure you get to enjoy them too! Even if you have to cook your food before or after other people's.

I have a wide range of favourite foods, mostly consisting of cake, biscuits, chicken nuggets, pizza, burgers, and cottage pie! (as you can see, I go for enjoyment more than anything else  :D)

Reading and listening to music sound great. Do you have anything in particular that you enjoy reading or listening to? In terms of music, I also like a wide range! Ranging from Bring me The Horizon to Taylor Swift  :D

@Nicetomeetyou22 - Such a great range of magazines! I also like Whitney Houston. I just like too much music to be able to list all of it. I also really like The Script, Maroon 5 and Westlife. I once watched The Script live  :D

@L_Volunteer it was the standard, sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, cakes, salad, pasta, etc.

I avoided the cakes because of my type one diabetes.

@MarkM88 - The standard buffets are the best type. It is often the cheese and wine buffets that confuse me. Oh, now I am craving a standard buffet! Well done you for knowing how to manage your diabetes and taking care of yourself  :)

@Nicetomeetyou22 - Thanks! You must also have a great choice of music because we agreed with many. What other types of music do you like listening to? I can imagine your list is just as long as mine   :)

@SueHeath I have struggled for years with food because of childhood trauma and that's where my anxiety/social anxiety comes from because of what happend to me I just can't seem to love my body I'm a size 12 going down from size 24 since Xmas 2017 and I'm not dieting or trying to lose weight now my gp is on about putting me on meal replacements drinks I do hope you're OK xx
    Hi @Nicetomeetyou22

Thank you for posting here and I'm sorry to read of how challenging you find food, is your GP aware of how you are impacted in this way and are they able to support you with it?

Additionally, you mentioned that what you went through as a child is a reason for your struggles now, which I'm sorry to hear. If you ever want to talk at all about what happened to you then our inbox is always open at community@scope.org.uk, and we will try to support as best as we can.

@Ross_Scope my doctor is supporting me really well thank you I mean I have not told him everything as to why I'm feeling the way I do and thank you very much for sending over the email address 😊  it does truly mean alot to me the problem I have is I don't really know how to engage properly and reach out and ask for support etc because I don't want people to think I'm a failure or anything

Thank you for your response @Nicetomeetyou22, I really appreciate it.

I'm glad your doctor is supporting you really well, that must be very comforting to have a GP who you know you can rely on if you need them.

That's completely understandable, it can be difficult to speak with people about how you feel and what you have been through due to fear of what they might think or say, I've certainly had that fear myself in the past. However I can assure you that here you are amongst friends and if you ever do want to have a conversation then you are more than welcome to get in touch. It's important that you only do what you are comfortable with, so please take things at your own pace.

Today I’ve had cheese and tuna salad with a few salt and cracked black pepper cracker bakes. Yum.
