International Women's Day 2025 and Cerebral Palsy
International Women's Day (IWD) is a global holidaycelebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate women's cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements. It is also a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women. As part of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, I wanted to celebrate women who live with CP and who have worked and continue to work to improve the lives of disabled people and raise the profile of Cerebral Palsy.

In summer 2020 went to an online webinar hosted by Maysoon, on her experience of intersectionality, it was fantastic!1 -
This is a great thread, @Richard_Scope! I actually hadn’t heard of a few names here & I’m grateful for the newfound role models

Francesca Martinez

Francesca is an English comedian, writer and actress. She has cerebral palsy, and prefers to describe herself as "wobbly".
She's one of the first comedians with CP that I became aware of, while I was at university.
