Hello, i work full time and just about manage to stretch myself to this, with quite a few days sickness absences over each year. I have difficulty moving about as much as I used too for a start. I also suffer from anxiety/panic disorder/depression and also been told i know have ADHD. On top of this I have loud tinnitus and a chronic bladder infection which requires permanent use of antibiotics which has awful side effects. I often after work and all all weekend spend all my time in bed and suffer badly with suicidal thoughts and anxiety. For example yesterday i phoned in sick and had to take prescription valium for me to be able to rest and relax. My chronic health conditions effect my mental health so much. Some people have told me I may be eligible for basic PIP despite me working a full-time IT job. Is this true or not?

Hello @afebmunn
Welcome to the community and thank you for your post.
It sounds as if you're going through a really challenging time at the moment and you're balancing a lot of different things. Firstly, I just wanted to ask if you were receiving any support from your GP with regards to your mental health and if you had a good support system? I know a lot of these things make a huge difference in how we cope with certain conditions.
As @janer1967 mentioned, you can work full time and also claim PIP. To learn more about PIP and it's application process, I've listed a few resources below that should hopefully be useful for you:- Personal Independence Payment (PIP) | Disability charity Scope UK
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
- Personal Independence Payment - Citizens Advice
Please do let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

PIP isn't about a diagnosis as advised. People do claim PIP and work but if the work you do contradicts the reasons for your claim then yes, it can go against you. This may help. https://pipinfo.net/
