We have members here waiting as long as 10 months. You should expect another assessment because most people have them. This will be through either telephone or face to face. Once an appointment becomes available you'll be contacted.
My award finishes officially on Dec 22 this year .So when i'm asked to renew in approx July? is it 6 months before the end of an award? (of course, as long as the award review is ok) then im assuming its July i would have to reapply again? Im asking as i noticed you mention the long wait times... Would i have an answer before my award ends in Dec 2022?
And what if i havent had a reply of my award review, by the time i have to RE apply in July?
I can see this all overlapping maybe? and bottle necking
If you've recently sent back the forms then you won't have another review in July. You just wait for the decison on that review and if successfully awarded the new decision will replace your current award.

My present award runs out November 3 as my blue badge runs out then to0

This thread has got very confused because we have questions from debbie (who started the thread) and questions from middleton who jumped on it.
Debbie, the recent replies have been to the question asked by middleton.
(Note to middleton - in future it is better to start your own thread to avoid confusion.)0 -
Has anyone had a decision letter in last couple of weeks from a pip review and how long ago did you send pip review form in to dwp thank s0

I think it's very difficult to compare someone else to yourself. All individual cases will have different timescales. To be honest, the best thing you can do is try to concentrate on something else to at least try to forget this review, i know that's difficult. If you don't it's going to be a very long process.0

Thanks Poppey I no what you mean0

Hi @debbiejohn you're not alone in going through a long wait for your PIP review. It can't be very frustrating and quite uncertain, so I can understand why you're feeling the way you do. When was the last time you rang?
I know it's easier said than done but one of the best things you can do is to try and focus on other things for now. You've done everything you need to do, everything else is for the DWP to manage now.
What sorts of things do you find help relax you? Do you have any hobbies, or friends and family you can spend time with, or talk to? Anything that helps take your mind off the review is a good thing!
Thanks for posting on the community, spending time here will also help with focusing on other things, so you can always visit the Coffee Lounge and play some games if you'd like
Let me know if I can help with anything in the meantime.0 -
HI I rang on 7 th April so worried when esa is due I worry that could change if pip goes got cerebral palsy mental health problems0
-
Hi @debbiejohn thanks for explaining that's really helpful. It was quite a recent call, so hopefully it won't be too much longer for you to wait.
And don't worry the DWP will not reduce your ESA payments if you don't claim PIP, and they won't reduce the payments if your PIP application isn't successful.
Does that make sense?
Do let me know if I can help with anything else.0 -
HI I get a premium in my esa that is affected if my claim is reduced at moment get enhanced living standard mobility0
-
Some parts of the country have longer backlogs than others. We have members here waiting several months and more.Alex_Scope said:And don't worry the DWP will not reduce your ESA payments if you don't claim PIP, and they won't reduce the payments if your PIP application isn't successful.
If someone is claiming Income Related ESA with the severe Disability Premium part of the criteria is Daily living PIP.0 -
HI I think income related I live in york North Yorkshire is this an area with long wait s0
-
That makes sense thanks for explaining @poppy123456
@debbiejohn just to double check do you get Income Related ESA with severe Disability Premium?0 -
I have no idea of the backlogs in your area sorry. There’s nothing more you can do really but wait.I know it’s difficult but try to think of something else while you wait.0
-
Yes thats right0
-
Okay thanks @debbiejohn so that means if your daily living entitlement changes, then your ESA will be affected.
But the important thing to remember is, that this hasn't happened yet, and it might never happen Whatever the result of your review, we'll be here to support you.
Let us know when you do hear more, but until then, focus on lots of nice things that you really enjoy, that'll help the time pass.0
