Hi, just wanted some advice, I received a copy of my pip assessment letter today and I was just wondering if the boxes ticked under the descriptor a-f part is what the accessor has decided from my conversation and if that’s what I use to add my points up. Also on the last page it says based on the claimants likely circumstances it would be appropriate to review the claim ok years 1 months 6 ! Does this mean that I’m going to be awarded PIP . I’ve had nothing from DWP yet . Thanks

The assessment report is a recommendation based on everything you sent and what you said during the assessment.Yes the activities/descriptors A-F in the report is what you add up using the PIP descriptors here https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/Global/Migrated_Documents/adviceguide/pip-9-table-of-activities-descriptors-and-points.pdf for example A would be zero points B would be 2 points Etc etc.
The timescale advised in the report doesn’t mean anything regarding any award. I’ve know this happen when there’s no recommended points. It’s worth pointing out that the report is not the final decision. Timescales for decisions are 2-12 weeks.0 -
ok thanks. I’ve added it up and I’ve got 12 points so hopefully I won’t need to appeal and they go on the assessment. I received a text from DWP saying I will here from them within 8 weeks.
